PROTECT CAMPING

Currently Mission Bay offers just over 800 campsites between two campgrounds.

In a perfect world, Campland on the Bay would remain where it currently is located and retain 562 campsites.

Mission Bay RV Resort can be placed along De Anza Cove with access to waterfront sites and retain 240 campsites plus an additional 147 interim campsite coming later this summer.

Since 1969, generations of campers have come to Mission Bay to camp.  The majority of campers are from San Diego and the surrounding area.

Preferred Mission Bay Park Plan should include:

  1. NO net loss of campsites! Study a plan that maintains or increases the existing 820 campsites in Northeast Mission Bay.

  1. Protect waterfront access! Study a plan that enhances and expands beachfront camping sites and access where infrastructure already exists to support it.

  1. Preserve existing amenities! Study a plan that protects ALL amenities that exist at Campland today, including an amphitheater, event space, sports fields and courts, water sport and boat rentals, marina, convenience market and restaurant.

We need to protect camping along the water for future generations.  Join us.
