HELP DETERMINE THE FUTURE of

NORTHEAST MISSION BAY

De Anza Natural Plan
Public Input Due by April 20, 2023

The City of San Diego released a proposed draft amendment to the Mission Bay Park Master Plan for public comment.  Goals of the proposed amendment:”De Anza Natural envisions a balance of land uses that serves local and regional recreational needs, while also restoring natural habitats and preparing for the impacts of climate change.”

Now is the time for the public to weigh in on the proposals.

Help us advocate for the following:

  1. Ensures NO net loss of campsites, protecting waterfront RV access!
  2. Preserves existing recreation and amenities!
  3. Adds wetlands while keeping current recreation and camping levels.

The vicinity under discussion is shown in which  the area formerly known as Campland on the Bay becomes wetlands as well as the surrounding open water. The Mission Bay Public golf course will be closed.  Thus, camping and recreation will be reduced.
